The rods were lincoln 7018 AC 3/32" rods that have been laying around the shop for a couple months. Machine was set on the third selector and 35 percent. This thing welds awesomely!

Reply:Thanks dave.I still got a few things I would like to do. Mainly pound out some dents and throw on some paint. Also need to replace a couple seals and get new motor mounts.Before I got this one I was a pretty big fan of the miller dialarc, but it just doesn't compare to a pure dc machine
Reply:Yep, dialarc is nice and it is an upgrade to regular 225 amp welders.
