I pulled the trigger finally myself as weldermike recently did and the sugaring season paid for it. Now to put it to work. Attached Images

Reply:This is a logging arch I built for my cousin. It works very well. Pulled logs 14"X24' and one that was 20"X16' and many other sizes in between. Attached Images

Reply:These are some gates "10 total" in the process of being built for a local beef farmer. They will mount to the wall of the barn and will allow him to separate different parts of the barn during the birthing season. They are very light weight material but its what he wanted. "16 ga. 2" square tube, 1/8"  2" straps. They also have a man pass so he can step through without having to open them. Attached Images
Reply:Few more of the arch in action Attached Images
Reply:I think your cow guy will regret the lightweight gate panels, but it's what he wantedI've had pretty good luck with some 16' 14ga corral panels but they're able to give a little when hit.  The only thing holding them up is about 4 T-posts each, and they give a little under impact so the panels don't absorb the full force of the cows.  Stupid animals can tear anything up"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:My only comment is you need to get a shackle block for your cable so that you aren't putting the hook on the cable. it adds un needed wear to the cable. also, do you let the weight off the winch once you've got the chains on? to reduce the wear and tear on the winch while transporting the log from point A to Point B?There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger

Reply:I was wondering, is that 2x2x1/4 tube? Getting ready to build, but want to make sure that I don't under build and have trouble. I am going to use a 9n so I should not have the quad issues.Bruce DeLaetHeavy Equipment Mechanic and Welder1948 SA-200 short hood1949 LincWelder 1801963 SA-200 red faceMiller S-32-P
