Changing from Co2 to C25

I bought co2 for my mig steel when i purchased my MM210. After learning of C25 for steel, I want to exchange bottles. Do I need to change or modify my co2 regulator for this mix?OzDynasty 200DXMiller 210 Spooly
Reply:Usually the standard reg that comes with that machine is set up to run C25. You have to add an adapter to the reg to use it with 100% CO2. If for some reason you have a reg set up for straight CO2 as opposed to one with an adapter, you may have to either get an adapter or get a reg with the correct CGA fitting..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:100% Co2 gives you a slightly hotter weld and a bit more penetration, but you get more spatter as well. 100% isn't the best choice for say doing sheet metal body panels where you want less penetration. Reply:Co2 will give you much more weld time because it's a liquid. C25 is a gas and it doesn't last as long as CO2. Where I live the CO2 is half the cost of C25.Just somethings to think about.
Reply:I just want less spatter. Less clean up. Im just a hobby welder anyway. So I like the welds I do produce, to look nice and neat. I tig everything thats practical, but sometimes its just too much for the amount of time I have to dedicate.OzDynasty 200DXMiller 210 Spooly
