I don't think this is the right sub-section, but Lincoln Electric came to school and demo'ed their VRtex 360 and it was AWESOME, I didn't think a virtual reality welder would be as real as this was. Out of about 75 or so welders that were there today I scored the highest with a 95 or 96 I believe and ended up winning a really nice Lincoln welding hood that Lincoln was nice enough to offer as a prize to whoever got the highest score. I'm pretty stoked about winning because we had a TON of people trying to win it but I won So the school is going to buy a VR welder now and use it as a learning tool, it can show porosity and all kinds of different stuff including bend tests, it runs different kinds of MIG and 6010,6013 and 7018 stick on all kinds of plate and joints including 2" pipe and 6" pipe. I think it's a great learning tool and will be a great resource in the future. So has anyone else ever tried it out?Last edited by Jeromy_E; 04-20-2013 at 10:58 PM."Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself.
