Trailer Sign Fabrication (Picture Heavy)

This is what I have been up to for the last month. I didn't do a thorough documentation of the project, more like some random photos as it went along but you should get the idea. If there are any questions feel free.I decided to build a new fold up sign for this trailer for the starting fair season. Here is a photo from a few years back showing what it looked like before I started.The sign is 26-1/2' long so I had to splice some tubing. Reply:The discoloration on the welds suggests you might have a faulty magneto on the flux capcitor. You may not be getting the full 1.21 jigawatts.

Reply:Thanks for the comments everyone.The trailer just left the yard on its way down for pre-fair media night. Will be sure to update with some photos after the show is open and running.I needed about twice as many clamps as I had...ended up moving them constantly.Superarc:  The first shot was at Pomona, obviously you've spent some time there.... it hasn't been in that same location for a few years though, that was across from the carnival before they changed the layout..has set up down between all the buildings for probably the last three years or so.BD1: I'll take that as a compliment...you'd be surprised how much a mobile kitchen costs to replace.Funny movie jamesyarbrough, definitely one of my favorites.

Reply:All aluminum tubing was Lincolns pulse on pulse wire feed, all ss was tig. The actual roof is ss so the mounting brackets for the kickers and support posts are all welded to the roof. .  The sign all folded down and locked into place for travel.Lighting is provided by 6 metal halide fixtures that slide into tubes in the tops of the sign and then will over hang aimed back at the sign. A shot of the interior for those who may be curious.All buttoned up to go down the road with some of the auxiliary equipment following on with another truck.

Reply:Nice build Ken, never did get a chance to drop by and check out the operation, and been meaning to ask were you guys located over by the 605/10 interchange at one time?Ronhyper therm, esab, miller, a 22,380, 45acp,  223. 308, 12 guage and a 9 mil the 45 is for ccw, a 9mil will kill the body, the 45 will kill the soul.Thanks Paul....come by during the fair and you can "taste" as much as you'd like. May need some parts cut this summer for a project I'm considering, I'll let you know.Ron, are you getting all settled in with your new place. Reply:Thanks guys!!! Sorry, I missed these last couple posts. Fnord5, hope you didn't look for us at sac, we currently don't go any further north than Venture. Bet the Rubicon trip was fun though.We have received a huge response to the new look. Del Mar and OC fairs are over with Pomona coming up next. On a side note (not trying to sound like a commercial), we entered 4 sandwiches into the food competition at the OC fair and won 1-third place, 1- second place, 2-first place ribbons and won the grand prize trophy for one of the first place sandwiches.Anyway, thanks for looking and all the great comments from everyone.
