I have a Tweco no.2 gun that has the push on nozzles and 11 series tips. All the other guns are no.4 with the heavy duty screw on nozzles (24CT-62S) and the screw on insulator, and use the 14H-35 tips. Can you convert the smaller gun over to use the no4 parts? Will a no.4 neck fit inside the handle of a no.2 gun? if so I should then be able to use the larger parts?
Reply:Old SP85 lincoln has push on stuff. Was able to convert the forward gun/tube, so I could use screw on.Welding shop recommended a new tweco gun, about $120. Depends, new welder, keep old 110 volt SP85.Mainly use SP85 for .020 wire, thin stuff.Big mig uses .030 wire, thick stuff.Charl
Reply:Can you post a pic of the both guns and the consumables you speak of?Look anything like these pics?http://webpages.charter.net/akelliott/100_1826.JPGhttp://webpages.charter.net/akelliott/100_1831.JPGLast edited by polarred21; 04-29-2013 at 12:51 AM.
Reply:yeah those are the guns except we have the heavy duty nozzles
Reply:By using a 52FN diffuser you can use either 34CT/24CT-?? insulator/nozzle combo or 23series nozzles and 14 series tips.
Reply:Yes that part looks like it might work. Thank you. |
