Here are a few pics of an oxy-acetylene cart I recently completed from scrap I had on hand.  The bottle securement was my own idea.  I wanted to do something different that I had not seen before.  It works great.  The entire set up, with a #4 acetylene and a 250 cf oxygen tank (both customer owned), weigh in at 324 pounds.  Its easy to move around with the solid rubber tires.  Its camo because, well, thats how I roll.  Best of all its made in the USA!  Gar. Reply:That's really nice! Great job.
Reply:The whole design is cool, but the part I am going to steal is the torch holder on the back.  It looks like it would roll easily.
Reply:Love it looks awsome!!! Ive built a few and never like to critique a project, but just something you will notice in short time. You may wanna move the tool box below the torch for center of gravity reasons. When its full its gonna be top heavy to move, and when its full your going to change a bottle one day and as soon as you roll off the empty one its gonna go slamming down backwards. Only speaking from experience bro, and experience comes from bad decisions  trust me I know. Other than that great job bud I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:WelderMike,After reading your comment, I tested your heavy tool box warning.  With the bottles removed, the tool box will hold 28 pounds before it goes backwards on its own.  I don't think I will ever have that much weight in the toolbox, but i'd rather be aware of that fact now than later!  I may design some type of kick stand for added stability. Thanks again brother, I really appreciate your wise comment!  (Probable saved a few toes with that one!)For those of you that want to use the torch holder idea, here are some close ups.  For the part that holds handle on the torch, I used a 3" length of 1.5" tube, cut out a section of it, then used that same section that was cut out as a stand off to weld it to the cart. Reply:Paint the bottles hunter orange! I really dig this setup!GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Great design, love the torch holder that's a must have that I will be stealing! And the kick stand...... Perfect! I think i would use it all the time when using the torches, I have pulled my tanks over backwards a few times just trying to get that last two inches without climbing off the machine I'm working on. Well thought out.
Reply:You should market that cart, it is cool looking and well planned.
