Anyone try to wheel and deal with them? I have like 1K in credit with them but they are very expensive compared to other suppliers.Hardric
Reply:Up here, if you are a member of the NJ farm bureau they give a 10% discount. I agree they are expensive, but if you need something fast they usually ship as soon as it is ordered. They may offer other discounts. Ask them.
Reply:I buy from Graingers, when they have something you need fast, you don't worry about price so much. And very rarely, do you ever hear, "It's back-ordered". And the catalog is specific and precise enough, you normally don't have to actually see and compare the part before buying, just call them, or order off the site, UPS delivers the next day. Saves time, money, vehicle costs.
Reply:Yup Grainger is my supplier of last resort when I need it Today and is in stock at the St. Paul store.
Reply:grainger catalog prices are only for low volume customers. i used to get 20% discount based on the annual buy $ we did. but that was in the early to mid 90's before i retired.
Reply:Yes Grainger is usually higher but when you're paying for them to have thousands of products on hand at a local branch.Tough as nails and damn near as smart
Reply:Ditto here on the pricing. I have an account with them, and, MSC. MSC is generally a few dollars cheaper. What's nice here in Central PA, we have a major distribution center for MSC with a walk in store attached. |
