Reply:Mommasfatty, Could this be your baby? Attachment 12790When Lincoln built it, they didn't have time to stamp specs on the data plate! I know it's 480v and tagged as 600a. Looks like the paper schematic is dated 1941. Uses remote exciter; I have that also.Came out of a working shop, previous owner gave me the history.  Sorry, I left it outside for about three years.  They cranked it up, and broke the knobs off! I did turn them today, seem okay.Huge leads, maybe  4/0. Scale goes to 750 plus. Are you trying to squeeze a 1000a out of an 800? Too old, or do you think this might do it? Reply:That's series, so OCV x 3 = ~200V. Wow.. Good thing you were not wet! Be careful with that.
Reply:other prob in hooking to together is one lead hooked wrong can tere the machines from moring and flip them , ( saw 2 60kw generators flip @ 29stumps(palms) marine base when they tried to hook them in paralel nobody got hurt but a real attention getter).
