Here are a couple things I've whipped together this week. All of them were mig'ed with my Hobart 135 with 75/25 mix:Our male husky has a big problem with picking up his dog food bowl while full and moving it around the house spilling stuff all over. I remedied that yesterday with this holder made from 1" 16 gauge square. This one was my first paying job, a small firewood rack for a guy that found me on another forum. Dimensions are 36"x36"x10" and is made out of 1.5" square 11 gauge tube. I sold it for $65.
Reply:Nice work. I like the idea of the dog food bowl holders. The guy got a good deal on the firewood rack.-AaronJet 17.5" Drill Press1942 South Bend 16x84 Lathe1980s Miller 320A / BP --- 2013 Power Mig 2562012 Jet 7x12 Horizontal BandsawVictor O/A Setup
Reply:too good a deal on the firewood rack...rule #1 don't sell yourself too short. If you are doing it for friends and family or practice thats fine, otherwise charge a reasonable rate. Reply:I thought we just busted peoples balls about the gussets on their firewood racks? There are no problems. There are only solutions. It's your duty to determine the right one.Hobart Handler 210Airco 225 Amp MSM Stinger
Reply:Nice projects. I like the holders for the dogs dishes. Cool rack, did the guy provide the steel to make it. I would have charged around $100 plus materials for the rack. Like Coupebuilder said, dont sell yourself short.
Reply:I spent 1.75 hours on the rack and had about $4 in it...I get my metal cheap cheap cheap, if anyone around Dallas is in need of some I usually have 10,000 lbs or more on hand at one time.Last edited by Slumpbuster36; 05-16-2012 at 04:21 PM.

Reply:I'm one of those guys who doesn't know I guess! I'm pretty new to metal work, it all just kind of fell in my lap and I figured I ought to learn so I can make some extra money with all the metal I get.
Reply:Nice dog bowl rack, but I just bought one of the big crockery bowls, they can't move that around. Actually now I use horse feed bowls But it's a nice welding project.Darn, now you make me wish I live in Texas if you have good deals like that! Ken
