Good Evening,I was recently given a Chicago Electric model 45690, 230 volt spot welder. I cannot find any information as to the amp draw. Nothing in the manual. Does anyone have any idea. I would appreciate it. Thanks,bill

Reply:The current model is rated at 2.5 kVA, 16 Amps input. The model 45690 is rated at 1.5 kVA. Miller's 2.5 kVA unit specs 30 Amps. Reply:I have a 30 amp plug for my Lincoln MIG. I looked in the Grainger catalog and found a miller 220 Volt spot welder with the same specs as the welder I have. (the only difference is the out put on the miller is 6400 amps and mine is 5500 amps.They list a 30 amp. They also list a 30 amp for the 110 volt version. I think the 1.5 kVa is wrong for the 230 Volt. I have attached the catalog sheet. It would be nice to use the same plug. What are your thoughts?Thanks,Bill Attached Images |
