Reply:Spend the $5.50 + gas, and go buy that welder. Then buy these, and get a bottle of argon, and you can Tig weld as well. Reply:It looks like a gearmotor so couyld have low rpm for adjusting amps-- Is this a good welder? how much input power does it need, and how much does it weigh? Space is limited , so I have been thinking about an inverter type... but old is cool!
Reply:Interesting. V belt pulleys and belt. I'd like to see it work. These are very good single phase stick welders. Reply:Arguably the best conventional single phase welder you can buy! Lincoln still makes them and they cost about $2500. They weigh 350 lbs. less the remote set up or running gear. $250 is a steal if it works.

Reply:Lincoln made a remote for the TM 300 to TM 650. with a Internal motor, I have it with a burned out motor.Set up with a bike chain drive. |
