bobcat hard to start

I have this Bobcat that is getting hard to start. Runs on PROPANE. Not sure if that matters. Hot or cold I have to use the choke to crank and it's getting even harder because the second it fires the choke has to be pushed in or it dies. After it starts it runs like a brand new machine. Any suggestions before I head to the shop with it. The machine is about 10 years old with about 10 hours (yes 10)  on it. Reply:Which engine, If you have the Subaru there is updated ignition coils for hard start on cold mornings. Had posted a thread about it, but do not know how to link it. Mine is a 301g
