Can any one suggest a good welding program near pittsburgh? Ive looked all over the place but most of the ones i seem to find dont seem too accredited thanks in advance
Reply:I took a mig/tig class at CCAC. While it was good for a serious hobbyist like myself I don't recommend it for anyone looking at a career in welding.
Reply:Where are you located?
Reply:i live 25 min north of pittsburgh in cranberry
Reply:Have you thought of the Army or Navy reserves? They will train you, pay you and if you put in your time you get a good retirement kick in.
Reply:I was a marine out of high school but was discharged in basic training when they found out i had crohns disease. apparently thats a no go disease for the military
Reply:I suggest that you contact the AWS section in Pittsburgh. This is their web page: http://www.awssection.org/pittsburgh/I also suggest that you do some research about any school that is recommended to you. Write the name of the school and the word "reviews" in your search engine and you will likely get different websites that allow users to post comments about their experience. Hope that helps.
