small press

can anybody id this press it has no info on it i was wondering what i could do with it thanks Attached Images
Reply:I cannot comment on the make because it is certinly unusual. But it looks like a home made small forging press. does the shaft rotate like a crankshaft? If it does iot probably is a forging press.
Reply:Looks like a 1/2 or 1 ton C frame  , make a nibler, drill a hole in a heavy block to bolt to the base, to fit the lower die, build a punch to fit in the upper die, and it will punch a hole for every stroke, overlap them and you have a nibler. - probably a bit small for a forging press. With a small harbor freight lathe and this machine, you could make all sizes of holes.      Always try to guide the upper die, and use guards!  this thing would love fingers!
