Reply:Nice. I saw one where the guy used the tailgate for the bench and mounted the hinge part to the wall. When not needed you just fold up.

Reply:I have the same idea, but like said I want mine to hinge off the wall.My tailgate is off of a 48 to 50 Ford F3.  Thought it would fit my 49 F1, not so much.  Little old and beat up but still good.
Reply:ya i didn't have a lot of metal and a lot of wood so i used it. i don't know what year it off of it i fond it in back of my house i was left in the creek thanks for your in put. what wood yall think it wood be worth
