I am looking at this delta drill press and need some input

Reply:You can't hardly beat the old drill presses that where made around the middle of the last century, I have an old Cannady Otto industrial drill press that was made back in the 1940's, heavy sucker, it weighs in over 1000lbs, and I work it almost daily.As long as the motor works good, the only other thing you might check on it is its run-out, if its within a tolerable amount, to me that would be within 0.001 or less, that drill press will most likely outlast you!If its in good condition, that price doesn't seem unreasonable, I would rather pay that for a good older used one, than to pay that price for one of these new, made in China models, but if the price to you seems a tad high,  you can always throw the seller a lower figure and see if he bites!#1.
