Good deal on a Miller XMT and Feeder

Reply:I have two former reddarc rentals and both are excellent machines. One was select and you can tell it was used, the other was quality checked (as new condition) and looks and runs like a new one. For 10% extra you can get a 1 year warranty that covers everything even the engines on engine drives. When I got the EX300 (xmt304 with a bare aluminum case) they told me to take it and use it for thirty days and if I wasn't completely satisfied they would refund my money 100% no questions asked. That was last October and needless to say I let them keep my money.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.

Reply:Nice new toy there, have fun with it. The xmt304 wasn't even what I wanted, but funds were limited at the time and I desperately needed a power supply for my wire feeder for a large job I got in. It is fixing to start it's 5th job for me and I have no complaints. It has already paid for itself and will soon have the one I really want paid for as well. It was the same for the GX271. We needed another engine drive and didn't have the funds for a Ranger 305G. It's an '04, looks like a new one and uses no more oil than my other Lincoln engine drive that was purchased new and has 650 hours on it. It welds as good as any machine I have ever used and better than most. I would have rather had a kohler engine on it, but they only came with hondas and honda does build good engines.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.

Reply:I have the Optima pulse unit for my XMT 300 CC/Cv and I have never used it.  One of these days I'll have to hook it up and try it out.  I got it out when all the forum guys were at the shop Saturday, but didn't hook it up.

Reply:I like my xmt304 but the V350Pro Advanced (first choice to begin with but couldn't swing it) is the next one on the list after the cnc plasma table. Unlike the xmt there is no loss in power or duty cycle from 3 phase to single phase. I'm looking at a pulser for the xmt right now. The plasma cutter I have coming from reddarc was sent out twice as a demo but was never out on rental. The one I get my stuff through is great, even offered to set me up with a demo until it got here.
