Neighbor/customer wanted some trap prep done. Beaver slides, trap reinforcement, t posts and such. This is dirty old steel work and likely not in the running for prizes Beaver slides (coating ground from the washers first):Trap reinforcement, weld extra metal to the top. A quick pass through the ring roller and I'm ready.A few more to come.Dave J.Last edited by MinnesotaDave; 09-28-2013 at 11:49 PM.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:Here are a couple more.Welding the reinforcements:Grapple hooks that get attached to chain - hard to see but they are bent so that a point is always digging in the ground no matter how the lay. Some stakes for the traps:That's it - just some dirty smokey stuff - lolDave J.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.

Reply:What is the function of the beaver slides?
Reply:The 10 foot rebar is stuck in the mud under water with the washer end staked at the bank. The trap is secured to the slide. It will only slide down and the beaver drowns. Reply:It's clear to me, now. Thanks. I have a beaver or two to trap... now, I know to give it a shot.
Reply:Not shown in the pic, I put a piece of flat bar on the tip in case the beaver pulls it out of the mud, the slide won't come off.Dave J.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
