Looking to put a new filter (my old one is a joke) on my air supply as I will be running a plasma.Going with either the Motor Guard M26 or M30. Supposedly the M26 is designed for plasmas and paint guns in mind. Fittings are in a different place other than that no difference. How does one go about designing just for plasmas and paint guns? Seems like a crock of bull to me.The also have the D13 which is designed for plasma fittings. That I can believe and will be getting a couple of them instead of the D12's.I mostly run impact tools off my compressor and the plasma will see limited duty. Am I to believe one filter is better than the other for a specific purpose and if so, will it not work correctly with my impacts?
Reply:I have A SPS filter/regulator fitted to my compressor ( i run a hose around the machine before the filter/reg to help cool air down) and Hypertherm filter on the back of the plasma.Seem to work good.
