I'm sure a lot of guys here have a metal saw....Right? I have a big (way to big) Kalamazoo i will be selling and want to buy a smaller saw, Looking at spending 5-600. Looking a 4x6 or so, Jet? Grizzly? I want the ability to vertical saw with it also, that is a biggie for me. Any good ,bad or ugly stories out there??? I would appreciate your feedback.
Reply:I would buy a good Milwaukee Porta Band. $280 new. CL all the time for $150-200 used. They are good, tough, versatile, handy saws.

($700)I use them as listed above from least to most. The one on the right will cut 6 pieces while the one on the left cuts ONE.I purchased the HF saw in 1995. Its still going. This is the latest, NICE saw for $700.00Last edited by David R; 04-19-2009 at 09:03 AM.Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Where do you live?I might be interested in that Kalamazoo when you get ready to sell it, if you don't live too far away!#1. If you don't like what I wrote, or if it offends you, then don't read it!#2. I am living life the way I see fit, if you don't like the way I'M living, tough sh**!
Reply:I'm in minnesota, west of Mpls. The Kalzoo is a great cutter, about 850Lb. I sold it once before on ebay, but ppl like to bid on stuff and forget about it when they win...
Reply:Oh!That would be a bit of a drive up there from here to go get it, unless the price was nice enough to make it worth driving, I'm afraid we wouldn't be much help to each other!#1.
