wiil some please infor me on steel 1" plate, such what wire and gas and cu.ft &. volts & polarity thanks
Reply:That could be anything, joint design and application dictate what wire and procedure is used. I have done 1" plate with .045 hard wire and CO2, dualshield, and self shielded wire. A little more info would be helpful.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Dual sheild flux cored .045 wire at 28 volts and start at 250 IPM. That's how I would weld 1 inch plate with a wire welder. It's not my first choice stick welding it is.Good luck and have fun !
