I don't do a lot of super-high amperage welding, so I was looking around for some nice and comfy tig gloves, not necessarily ones that handle 15,382°F . I like them very snug to maintain dexterity. Tillmans are nice in that they are super soft and flexible, but I hated the looseness of them, since I have small hands and relatively skinny fingers. I would hate when they start to slip off my hands just from normal moving around, and these were the 25BM's, which is the smallest my LWS stocks. My hands measure 7-1/4" from wrist to tip of middle finger.Tillman 25BM's. Good size (length of glove) just too loose for my palms and fingers. All said and done, these Steiner gloves are darn near perfect. My original order of Small-size was nowhere near correct. They accidentally sent me Mediums, and even those were too tight. Sent them back, and ordered Large size, and BAM, perfect fit. I specifically was looking for a velcro-cuff to aid in making sure they don't start slipping off. I suspect that most guys with larger hands would need XL or XXL in these style gloves.Last edited by Oscar; 01-25-2015 at 03:06 PM. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:I got the black stallions. There some what tight and have the leather go up your wrist. That Tillman has a super long thumb. It's nice to have padding in the glove for t-joint style welds where the heat reflects back at you

Reply:The ones you got look a little better padded. How much you pay? I payed 14$ from my lws
Reply:Seems like welding gloves are pretty big. A medium latex mechanic glove is to tight for me and large works good. But large welding glove is way to big. These are medium in the pic above |
