Reply:You can get it with a flex, but I did not.The original torch is big, bulky, uncomfortable and the cable pulls on your wrist. The super flex is just that super flexible, easy to move around, doesn't pull on your wrist, will very much speed up the learning curve since its comfortable to hold and move.I got the 9, but even the 17 with the handle is still a better upgrade than the original one.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:Ok good to know, you are talking hand comfort, I was interested in the welding aspect. I solved the OEM problem removed the covering and added a flex head. So it sounds like we did the same thing just two different ways of getting there..Magazines have issues, everything else has problems
Reply:I think the pro's here will agree, your comfort and the quality of the weld are directly related. You are trying to hold a constant torch gap and angle while moving many inches. When one hose is three times a stiff as the other, it can make the difference. |
