I dont know much about this machine other than the motor turns over, the upper radiator hose is missing, it has been about 13 years since it was used and it is a 400 amp machine. Will take best offer and all trades considered.Joey703.582.7068
Reply:Pics?  I have an older hobart that I have been contemplating refurbishing.  If you can get some pics I might be interested in it for parts....I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:If you want pics pm me your email address
Reply:So you are going to have to manually send pics to anyone who is interested rather than just post them here once?????btw, how much do you want?  I'll offer $50...you said best offer, right?
Reply:opps I thought this site would only link to images I dident know you could upload themLast edited by MicroZone; 09-06-2007 at 10:02 PM.
Reply:That's a beast!  So it runs?  Or just turns over?  I was kidding about the $50 (although I would settle for $50 if you would  ).  What do you want to get for it?
Reply:Good luck shipping it from VA to WA!   That's an oldie but a goodie!John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:I'd pick it up for the right price depending on it's condition....or not, gas sucks...
Reply:Yepper, at 2,694 miles - one way - for you, it would be cheaper to ship.  Even if you had a truck that got 25 miles to the gallon, or a car to tow that big bastard, it would take you almost 216 gallons of gas. 216 x $3/per gallon (avg.)  = $648.00...just in gas.John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:That's niiiiiiice!Chrysler "Firepower" too!

Reply:Of course , what I said pertains to CARS...... engines used in industrial uses may have varied greatly . Chrysler and Hobart  sure weren't going to junk engines still in stock .[SIZE="5"Yardbird"

Reply:200 dollars???????????Complete Fabrication Shop specializing in pipe fabrication. Also offering heavy steel fabrication and sheet metal work.
Reply:I just gave MicroZone one, thats the going price for an old Hobart.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Originally Posted by denrepBack up Roy Hodges. I know you must care about Plymouth.  There where two different sixes.A big one (your spitfire) and a little one. Chrysler and Plymouth you might say. I think the short engine was snuck into cheap Chryslers until ‘48 and used in Dodge and Plymouth until ‘59. I don't think the long motor was ever in the other cheap cars. I should have written:I think '48 was the last year for this "6" in a Chrysler car.

Reply:No, the teacher did not lend out the car, it was a 54 plymouth 4 door sedan, his family car . his more interesting car was a 33 Plymouth 3 window coupe with a 39 DeSoto engine featuring 3 Vacturi side draft carbs  from  a 1939 Harley 61 . ( i know each Harley only used 1 carb. ) He fabbed (welded up ) his own intake manifold (carb adaptors)[SIZE="5"Yardbird"
Reply:I was at the scrap yard today. The gold rush is still on! Look what came in! Attachment 19299Still trickling in, but I think they're gonna really dry up after this round.Last edited by denrep; 02-22-2009 at 08:08 PM.
