Here is a compound bow press that i made out of aluminum scrap. had some holes i had to fill in and then started free-handing shapes. Well the first couple pics anyhow I guess I have to post more than once to get the rest of them to post. Let me know if I'm doing something wrong here or if I need to do something differently. It is my first time posting.Thermal Arc 211iThermal Arc 201iThermal Arc 95SEverlast 200DXEverlast Powerplasma 50Victor OAVictor portatorch
Reply:Got the shapes cut out and ground, cut aluminum rod and put it through holes i drilled, then welded it up. some of them i washed in, some of them i got a crappy stack of dimes, but for a self-taught hack that tig welds 2 or 3 times a month, i can only keep trying to get better. Reply:And here it is on the bow. You use a ratchet strap to crank it down.Thermal Arc 211iThermal Arc 201iThermal Arc 95SEverlast 200DXEverlast Powerplasma 50Victor OAVictor portatorch
Reply:What do these do? I'm not a bow hunter....and welcome.
Reply:To change bowstrings and do other adjustments/maintenance you have to compress the limbs of a compound bow. This does that; not as nice as a 500+ dollar bowpress, but it didn't cost 500 dollars. Thermal Arc 211iThermal Arc 201iThermal Arc 95SEverlast 200DXEverlast Powerplasma 50Victor OAVictor portatorch
