Did this little project at school. It is made of mostly short scrap peices other than the bottom and the springs are from my sons trampoline that got destroyed in high wind storm. Attached Images

Reply:Having a small bender will be very handy. It's an interesting design. The return springs look like they will work well.Make sure you plan your bends carefully as to not get the part bent in such a way you can't remove it. Ideally you want to be able to remove the upper anvil. Looking at the design I'd remove the welded spring stop, just let the springs fully retract, the weight of the anvil will keep it in check. Then if need be you can remove the upper bolts and spring hangers if you need to disassemble to remove a part after bending.Last edited by forhire; 11-13-2013 at 02:25 AM. |
