Here is a great video testing out a 135 Mig welder.  It is 115v and capable of flux or gas.In this video Jody explains the capabilities and limitations of these smaller welders and tests it on 1/4" and 3/16" flat metal corner joints.  He also "unscientifically" tests them with a bend test.http://welding-tv.com/2013/08/20/115...9f5e-266658357
Reply:That was a nice little video! I can honestly say I never have duty cycle problems with my HH140 tho. Its only shut down on me once and I was working it pretty hard! For the most part it will do just about anything I would wanna mig weld!
Reply:On a 20 amp circuit I hate my 110 volt welder as it is always tripping the breaker. I have no problem with the welder itself.
Reply:Hire an electrician. Its an easy fix
Reply:my Dayton (century 85A) that I just bought (well used) is/was to be on a 15A circuit. On disassembly to replace the 6' power cord, I found it to be 16ga wire.I replaced with a 30' heavy 12ga stranded I had laying around. On full power it draws 16-16.5 ampsIt had a 40-45 liner, 030 tweco tip, 10# roll of 035 wire(maybe why the guy sold it)(It's also getting a new ground clamp)Now to find something to weld
