So a while back I purchased a fibre metal flip shade hood.  Seems like great quality and all, but I tend not to use it so much because when I drop the hood, it falls to far down my face.  It seems like I see a lot of guys modding fibre metal hoods so I figure theres a tried and true way of fixing this but I don't know it. Any help would be appreciated.  If it makes a difference, its just like a pipeliner just with a flip up shade.  Thanks in advance

Reply:Doesn't line up with my eyes.  Not even close really.  It does have a tendancy to smack just below my throat as well.  I've heard of cutting them down but how?  I guess I could repurposed this thread as "how have u modified your hood"

Reply:I think I've got it were I like it now. The studs were as they should be.  I left the side "stud" outside of the four holed tab and played with the top strap till I got it right.  when I first started using the hood I guess I was just to pissed off to put much thought in making adjustments. What with screws always loosening on the head gear, the lens sitting to low and the bottom of the hood always bumping my chest I thought "60 bucks for this?" And put it to the side. I've been tacking a lot at work with low amp tig using a remote and my ad has been flashing me when I roll off the amps so I figured I'd pull out the fibre metal and find a solution.  if only I hadn't been so pig headed I could have gotten a lot more use out of this by now.  Thanks for the replies guys sorry to waste your time.
