Still a work in progress... I am going to do a full sheet metal wrap, with a removable lid with no hinge. I could use the bed, but its got a double seat in it for the kids to ride in. Ill post pictures of it as it get near complete. Cant decide on quick release latches... will take some input on ideals. thank s Attached ImagesJobSmart MIG125Lincoln AC225-SLincoln Pro-Mig 175Dewalt GrindersRidgid ChopsawIR Garage Mate CompressorAny thing worth doing, is worth doing right.
Reply:You could use the latches like they use on equipment cases for touring bands. Look at the surface-mount twist latches and recessed latches on this page (this is the company I buy this sort of stuff from)...http://www.reliablehardware.com/latches.aspxOr you could use those rubber latches often seen on truck hoods and jeeps...KevKevin / Machine_Punk from The Aerodrome Studio - Lincoln PowerMIG 210 MP - Meco N Midget w/custom welding station - Vintage Victor 100Current Projects: The Aerodrome Studio

Reply:I might have some of the twist latches at work. I can check for you tomorrow. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:Thanks for all the help, here is what I picked up at a local hardware store today. $9.00 for the pair, they seem heavy duty for what I want. Gauged the material, it is 1/8" and 14 gauge. I hope it works well. The back im going to make a removable hinge ( like an army can). Hope it works like I think it will. Any more input will be usefull .
