I have a chance to buy an old Scott engine driven welder. Has anyone used one of these. Are they any count. Just looking for something to use around the house. If it would burn a 3/32 7018 I would be happy. Chad

Reply:No but it has a 16hp motor on it and is rated at 200 amps. yellow in color. I sold my welding trailer to buy a racecar and now I need a mobile welder again. My boss has two of these that came out of an old factory. I have never used them before. I thought I might be able to get them cheap if they are any count. Chad
Reply:If the price is right, buy both and use the worst of the two for parts. If one runs and welds decent it will do anything you want around the homestead.
