For those that remember my little helper buddy Tom that I dropped off at Hobarts in January. Tom has been giving it both barrels since I dropped him off, he's been practicing like mad in his free time and really really coming a tremendous long way in the last bunch of months. I keep in touch with him every single day, sometimes multiple times just helping him through life in a strange state by himself, and talking him through all his welding hurdles. Tom had zero tig experience and I really thought it would crush him, but he took to it like me to a keystone light and is nailing it. I'm so proud and happy for the kid and his progress the last 8months. He has aced every test and not missed one day of school. Right now he holds four certs and just enrolled to stay longer and gonna take the pipe fitter coarse. Like said above, i'm so proud of the kid and ca't wait to see him in two months. Here are some pics of his tig work on pipe. If your lurking, great job Tommy Boy! I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:I'm no Tig hand by any stretch of the imagination, so I have to walk the cup on the root, and fill. But free hand the cap.
