I need lubricant for simple home machining activities. Industrial products come in one and 55 gal sizes. Where can I get a small quantity of soluble oil for use at home?Or is there a home brew recipe that I can create myself?Cheers!

Reply:www.use-enco.com has some. This one was recommended to me:http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?P...&PMPXNO=946817I don't think you'll find much in quantities less than 1 gal.Lincoln SA200, HH135, Lencospot, HF80 Inverter, Rockwell 11x35 lathe, HF drill mill, Kama 554 tractor w/ FEL & BH, Belarus 250AS, lot's of Chinese tools
Reply:You have an Airgas nearby? They sell soluble oil by the quart for their Hougen mag base drills with annular cutters.

Reply:I have used "Kroil." Comes in an orange can, with black print. I am unsure as to how soluble it is. Reply:go to the local oil supplier. cheaper than most anywhere else you will buy it. Doesnt matter what brand. You can buy it in 5 gallon buckets. Because I have an issue sometimes with heat in the shop, I use soluble cutting/grinding fluid, mixed with RV antifreeze and water. 1 or 2 parts oil, mixed with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water.All of your lubrication needs will be met at your oil supplier. cc
