i decided to build a shoe bench for my future in-laws. they have a few horses and there house is a log home with a lot of horse/ranch decor. to build the shoe bench i used horse shoes and rebar and a few other misc pieces of metal. painted flat black then clear coated , wood was stained with minwax gunstock.
