I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive bender for use on solid round bar, square tubing and flat bar. Any advice on the one below?http://www.princessauto.com/shop-gar...keyword=bender Attached Images
Reply:Yes I have one just like it. Works great for what it is intended for. I did however replace the bottom part that the vise is welded on with solid stock and also made a piece to keep the top in the pin parallel with the vise plate. Problem for me was I am always using it to it max on 1/4 flat bar and 3/8 round steel. Here is a pic of mine setup on a base I made for itthat pic was before I modified it. If you want I can take a pic of it now so you can see what I did. Just let me knowMiller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
Reply:Here are a couple pic's of my bender as it is right now with the improvements plus a couple of projects I have done with it.Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
Reply:is that last one a christmas tree stand?
Reply:Yes it is. I made it a few years back as mt damn cats would climb the tree. It doesn't not fall over anymore. The flower is a trellis. It stands about 7 - 8 feet tall. I have made a few different types for some older customers I have around home.Last edited by jamlit; 01-25-2010 at 08:50 PM.Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
