Has anyone here ever use a High Frequency arc Stabilizer do they work good and are they worth having. Granger use to sell them but not any more anyone know where to find one at a good price.
Reply:Ebay may be your only source for one...or Craig's List. I saw 2 on ebay just last week....they usually bring $100+ so anything in that $$$ range is about right. There have been numerous threads about them, so a search should give you more results and answers... There were several models, but the most common seems to be those sold under different names like Sears,Century,Lee and several others...although I think Century was the main builder and the rest were re-badged.Not much specific help to your question about their function... someone else that uses one will have to answer that for you..although it's been covered in other threads about the units.
Reply:I saw one of those century arc stabilizers at a yard sale a while back for $75, but I wasnt familiar with the name so I passed. Both miller and lincoln make them but they can be pricey. Ive seen the lincolns sell for around $300 used and the millers go around $500 but thats evilbay. My vintage equipment 1957 Lincoln sa 2001980's Lincoln 225 AC1952 F-2 ford truck1957 F-250 ford truck |
