Reply:I did some "bush welding" only a few weeks ago on our last outback trip. Travelling across a very remote and rough outback road called the Gunbarell Highway the handle fell of the jockey wheel for out trailer. I cut some rod out of a steering wheel from an old burned out wreck and bent it into a new handle and welded it on. Not exactly an emergency but it did the job for the rest of the trip, which reminds me, I should do a proper job now we are home.Cheers Andrew

Reply:lol, in 64 when my grandparents drove up the alcan the door hinges on both doors of their buick all stress fatigued and broke of from the combination of -50F and colder temps and the rough road. the cold can do interesting things to metal. a couple years ago the front differential assembly fell out of my mom's dodge durango while driving down the road in kotzebue. they saw down to -70F up there. Reply:I'm staying in Phoenix. And on the upside, we don't have to pre/post heat cast iron in the summer. Just set it in the sun...
