Does 7024 rod care very much about how clean the base metal is?
Reply:No! My friend used to live in Owls Head! I used to love to visit him. He was a welder for Fisher.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:Thanks for the information, guys. I've got some 7024 on order for a moderately dirty job and I wanted to be sure I can just jump right in and do it. It's a job for which pretty is more important than tensile strength -- some light duty stands, on which noone is going to be doing any x-raying looking for flaws. -Marty- |
