I'm looking for a quality MIG welder that I plan to use for bodywork (shaving doors, fixing rust, etc). 110v, most likely, but will consider 220V (mainly because most 220 machines would probably be too big to ship?). I'm not a pro welder by any means, so a machine that is reliable and consistant is the goal for my purchase. If anyone has something local it'd be great if it came with a gas cyl. Otherwise if you're willing to ship a unit it'd probably be cheapest to skip shipping a gas cyl, haha. I'm located in central Wisconsin, area code 54455, near Wausau (if you're from the area). Hoping for $500 or less, but if the machine's a real beauty I may consider more. Let me know if you're interested, or if there's anymore info you need.

Reply:I may just end up going with a brand new one like that.. I see they have an actual MIG setup for a bit more that includes the regulator and so forth.. pretty nifty.Still going to shop around for a used one, maybe score a well cared for unit slightly cheaper, who knows. Thanks for the link/ direction to look, though! I honestly have no idea what to look for in a welder, all I know is the machines I've used in the past (I've used a couple 110v Lincoln MIGs before.. they worked very well ). Just good to have something I know I can get now, cheers.
Reply:where are you at in WI ? if you'd consider a drive to chicago i have a lincoln SP-150 mig welder for sale in this catergory. scroll down about 5 posts from yours and you'll see it. i'm trying to get photos posted on here.. dave
