Big important welding project.

this was my big time project today for the city. We got 20 toilet paper holders in for parks and rec and the boss wants them modified so they cant be taken apart once installed. That way when the citizens cut the lock to steel the toilet paper they wont take the center bar too..  They are made from 1/4 inch stainless and the rod was 3/8 carbon, welded with plain jane carbon fluxcore on a 100 amp machine.  it should have been tig welded with proper filler, but its what we got in the maintenance shop and the bossman insisted.

Reply:I spent lots of time in Islamic North Africa back in the '70's...they there didn't use toilet paper-they used their left hand...no where except in the most expensive hotels would you find toilet paper.

Reply:Looks like the city is cheap and must have a LOW tax structure owning a Lincoln. Maybe when they increase taxes they can get a real machine, a PRETTY BLUE ONE ! Unfortunately you might still have shlty jobs but we will be a LITTLE nicer.

Reply:my department doesnt get much of a tool budget......now some departments like water distribution get all the good stuff, bobcats, pipepros, dynasties and gold plated underwear.   but im working on them. if im lucky we might get a stickmate next year lolI will say the little lincoln didnt do too bad. for what it is I was a little surprised by it.wait till you see the other lincoln we got at the shop.  pos lincoln ac only engine drive. I think it has a 5 hp briggs....
