All I had to do was put it together, they cut every thing out.Any input on how much would be fare to charge? Still working out priceing. Only have about 4 hours in it. Reply:Aluminum right? And they bought/cut the materials? 4 hours total into it. I think I'd be Into it for $200 with the hope they brought me more work
Reply:Thanks, yep it's aluminum. I was thinking about 200, smaller jobs I will do by the inch. Would like to keep my shop rate at about $50 an hour Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
Reply:Years ago I worked for an electric sign company and built way to many letters and single face signs to count. Usally .080 alum for the back and .063 for the sides, bigger ones would use .080 or .090 on the sides and 1-8 inch on the back . Used .030 4043 alum mig , small spot weld every couple inches . Biggest issue was keeping them square . Used to use a router with a flush trim carbide bit to finishthe back to the sides, then all seams would get caulked on the inside.Miller xmt304, Miller S22 p12, Miier Maxstar SD, Miller 252 w 30A, Miller super32p12, Lincoln Ranger 9, Thermal Arc 181I with spoolgun, Hypertherm 10000 ,Smith torches.
