Hi all,I just got my Readywelder spool gun working well with a trailblazer 251nt. I was able to run decent beads flat and was wondering how best to use it when faced with out of position jobs. For example, will aluminum run downhill? Can it fill in gaps easily? How about overhead. Will it stick or tend to drip. Can it be run vertical up? I know that I will have to try these types of runs but I thought if I could get some insight before practicing, it would give me some things to look out for.Attached is the first bead I have ever run with a wire feeder on aluminum using this spoolgun. I was impressed with the ReadyWelder and I'm glad I was able to get it working as it will be a good addition to my tool chest when out on field jobs. Thanks for any help,Tony Attached ImagesLast edited by therrera; 11-13-2013 at 06:12 PM.Reason: To ask more questions....
Reply:I treat it just like a regular mig and have never had any problems. For me vertical up tends to need a wider weave or there is too much depostion. |
