Need a new mig gun for my Lincoln 180, mine has a cut in the outer casing. Hasn't been a problem because I've only used flux core up to now, but going to get into gas shortly. Praxair quoted me $165 on a Prostar, and list is $195. It's my understanding they are Bernard? Thoughts and input appreciated.
Reply:They are a Bernard style. I have one and works well I also use a Bernard at work. Bonus

Reply:Can get a Bernard on eBay for $100 shipped. Just FYI, the outer casing does not hold the gas in, the inner hose does that. My M-25 gun got cut up on the edge of SS sheet metal. I pulled the gun end off and slid a section on heat shrink tubing on and shrunk it. It has been working fine for over a year.

Reply:Not to Canada, shipping kills that. Mine is cut down to the inner liner, so don't think that would work. Thanks for the tip though.
