Pool vac problem

Problem dog chewed up my pool vac adapter to my skimmer basket, and after several trips to different pool stores and wasting time and money because it is one of those 20'X 4' quick set pools decided to try this. I had some I believe its 1/16 an inch  aluminum diamond plate laying around which was cut into 4" strips for practice. I cut them into 4"X4" squares, and welded them like thisCut it to the diameter of the skimmer basket and added a part from one of the many vac adapters I bought, added a little jb weld and came up with this.Will let ya know if it works after work.Will   Supports Autism Awareness                            My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .

Reply:Thanks, that dog has cost me so much money it's like he was mad if I left him outside to long. And just started tearing stuff up. Reply:I like the project because you make it perfect. I see first time home made pool vac adapter for basket skimmer, I think now you should protect that vac adapter.

Reply:Not sure if it's worth yer while for a 20x4'  pool,but one of the best investments I made for our 30' pool was the "pool rover jr." drop it in the pool and walk away. it shuts off in 2 hours and the pool floor is clean.   has a self contained filter.    easy-peasy. those pool filter vac hoses are a pain in the azz.Miller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221  True Wisdom only comes from Pain.
