boy life has its ups and down ... got my new ta 186 on Thursday afternoon and lost my left thumb in table saw accident on Friday afternoon at work. Attached Images
Reply:So sorry to hear about your thumb. Get well!
Reply:Sorry about the injury. There's a lot of people in my trade with missing digits, and they always mention how quickly they adapted to their new hand configurations. My father also lost half his middle finger when I was a child, and he got over the hurdles very quickly. I still make fun of how goofy he looks when holding a pen though...

Reply:You seem to be in great spirits about the incident, at least! I'll bet a good attitude like that will make recovering and adapting that much faster - you won't be fighting yourself as much. I (as well as others, I'm sure) will be really interested to see what adapting techniques you come up with for welding with your injured hand. On a lighter note - were you hoping to lose weight?
