I use a Miller 211 to manufacture parts were I weld a 10 gauge tab to 20 gauge sheet metal. To get good penetration on the 10 gauge tab and not burn through on the 20 gauge sheet metal I have to bump the trigger.I want a machine with stitch or skip weld and maybe with pulse if it will help with splatter from the stop and starts with stitch welding. My question is does a inverter mig have less splatter and will pulse have less splatter? What machine would be the best for my application?I have been looking at Miller 350P, Lincoln 350MP and Thermal Arc 252i, I am not sure if the Lincoln or Miller has stitch or not.
Reply:My hunch is that the chopper type machine will have the very best arc starts overall. (owned a few, and know it's the area they excel at) Machines like the Lincoln 350 MP/Esab260/300/and the Miller Shopmate 300.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
