$20 bucks at the scrap yard......$540 list price....a couple of bucks in paint and elbow grease...now its Miller time.....Ok so there is no welding....but it will surely be use for such very shortly...Cheers!

Reply:Sharp looking vise! What did you use along with the elbow grease to clean it up?
Reply:Steelgrinder--pretty much just a wire cup brush (knotted) 4 1/2" dia.  A some skotchbrite pads.  Took forever to scrape off who knows how many years of grease.  Cast Iron cleans up real nice.  Acetone wipe down before the first coat of primer.

Reply:You guys are killing me! I got a Wilton C2 off fleabay for a killer price, but it has no swivel base. I had been thinking of making one, but this has been one heck of a busy summer. I need to complete some stuff in the shop and get it done.
