I was trying to clean a lathe and the binding lever came off when I was trying to loosen it. The problem is I can't figure out if it snapped off or if I actually just took it off. If they can be taken off, how do I reattach it? Did a screw possibly fall out as well?
Reply:I am not familiar with the term "binding lever". Is this the lever to draw a collet in, the one which closes the half nuts onto the lead screw, or something else? Also, what brand and model or size lathe is it?
