Nothing special, just wanted a way to mount a powerful light over my table that I could tilt to light up the driveway or rest of the garage. Just thought i'd share.Holds a 500w floodlight I got at Home depot for $16. Not a great picture of the welds, but I think i'm improving here and there. Reply:Nice job with the light. I don't mean to pull this too far OT, but I would appreciate knowing what you have used for pegboard. It must be pretty strong to support your steel lamppost. I have old style pegboard for tools in my shop, the brown cardboardy pegboard. I hate it. It is bendy, it holds damp, it gets chewed up by changes of the metal pegs. I would love to toss every last bit of it, but I don't know what to put in to take its place. Pegboard is a good way to stash hammers, for instance. -Marty-
Reply:Looks to me like he screwed the lamp post into wood behind the pegboard, and the pegboard isn't holding anything.
Reply:Nice! Interesting that this came up at this time because just yesterday I was trying to figure out a way of doing this myself.
