Hello,http://www.harborfreight.com/merchan...ess-32879.html I saw this online, 170 if I can find it in one of the stores around me. I feel a bit shamed about the idea of buying it, but I don't have a fortune to spend at the moment. I may not end up buying this idea any time soon and I'd just wait until I could afford something else.Anyway, could something like this be formatted to bend 90 degree angles in something like aluminum?Miller 330 a/bp water cooledI believe in gun control, I hold my gun with two hands. Reply:Northern sells a brake that will go in a 20 ton press. It's rated at 3/16" x10", 1/4" x 6", 1/2" x 2" in steel, and .100 alum 20" wide.http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...ct_21896_21896 The one for a 40 ton press bends 1/8" steel 26" wide, 3/16" x22", 1/4" x 10", 1/2" x 4" in steel, and .100 alum 26" wide. This just gives you an idea what sort of tonnage you might need. There have been several home made pres brakes posted here. Steve (7A749) did a nice one a while back as an example IIRC. The big issue with a press brake is getting the die right. Many I've seen made use a piece of bucket cutting edge, or a factory made die blade rather than try and build one..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
